Gegard Mousasi and Gary Goodridge fought at the year ending Dynamite!! 2009 on HDNet. If they were stocks instead of fighters, Mousasi would be Google and Goodridge would be Xerox. However, stocks don’t fight. People fight. Watch these two people fight.
Prior to their meeting at Dynamite!! 2009, Akihiro Gono and Hayato “Mach” Sakurai had experienced similar devastating losses, about a month apart, that made the 2009 highlight reels. Gono was on the receiving end of a Dan Hornbuckle kick that sent him to the canvas in a heap while Sakurai caught a Marius Zaromskis shin to the head which lead to a barrage of punches which lead to the end of their fight. Which fighter would celebrate the end of 2009 with his arm raised in victory?

Entering his Dec. 31 bout with UFC veteran Michihiro Omigawa (8-8-1), one could have expected former WEC fighter Hiroyuki Takaya (12-7-1) to have the edge standing.
Takaya, after all, had posted nine knockouts in his 12 career wins while Omigawa had just four among his eight total victories.
In fact, their “Dynamite!! 2009” featherweight fight remained standing and didn’t go to the mat. But as we see in the enclosed video, it wasn’t Takaya who had the edge in the striking department.
Each week HDNet and MMAjunkie.com release a new and exclusive fight from the ever-growing HDNet Fights video library. Stunning knockouts, slick submissions, shocking finishes and legendary brawls are the norm for this weekly feature. And Omigawa vs. Takaya is no exception.
Check out the fight, which was part of the star-studded year-end DREAM/World Victory Road event at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.
Omigawa vs. Takaya was part of the HDNet-televised show and featured two fighters who found success in 2009; Omigawa was the runner-up in Sengoku’s 2009 featherweight grand prix while Takaya earned the same runner-up finish in DREAM’s featherweight tourney.
Who would win when the two second-place finishers met in a promotion vs. promotion matchup?
From the 2008 World Grand Prix Finals, Badr Hari and Errol Zimmerman. Not to spoil it for you, this is a good fight, but Hari would win this and go on to the final match in which he would cement his reputation as the bad boy of K-1. That will happen when you strike a downed opponent.
